Essential Qualifications/skills/experience 3+ years’ experience in a similar role Fluent in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP with a strong focus on frontend development Extensive experience developing for WordPress with a deep understanding of themes, templates, and plugins Proven experience with API creation and integration of third-party services such as CRMs (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics), payment providers (e.g. Stripe) and learning platforms (e.g. Talent LMS) Project management Familiarity with WCAG standards and experience in implementing best practices for accessibility Experience with UI/UX principles, understanding of user-centric design, and the ability to create intuitive, visually appealing interfaces Ability to handle multiple, concurrent feature requests and larger web development projects in a fast-paced environment Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility and how to test and resolve rendering issues across multiple platforms Solid understanding of WordPress security best practices, including common causes of vulnerabilities and how to prevent them Knowledge of performance optimisation techniques, including image compression, caching, and content delivery networks (CDNs) Good discipline with change management, including source control (e.g. Git) Experience in e-commerce development Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines An exceptional team player who wants to work for a company that makes a real difference to people’s lives Why join us?
