We are currently recruiting for a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join the culinary team at our luxury hotel. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone with previous experience in a four- or five-star hotel or fine dining environment. You should be confident running your own section, working effectively as part of a fast-paced team, and have excellent communication and organisational skills. You will report directly to the Executive Head Chef.
Location: The Chesterfield Mayfair, London
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Pattern: Shift work (5 days on, 2 days off)
Salary: Up to £40k annually
Key Responsibilities of a Junior Sous Chef:
- Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef on a daily basis.
- Ensure that all recipes and product yields are accurately costed and reviewed regularly.
- Ensure that all food items are prepared as per standard recipe cards whilst maintaining portion control and minimizing waste.
- Train junior members of staff and ensure that chefs are always in clean, tidy uniforms and presentable to be in guest view.
- Maintain health and safety standards in the kitchen.
- General section organisation and section ordering.
