Our client is a leading name in the maintenance and repair of the UK’s commercial fleets, with a proud heritage of managing some of the most mission-critical HGV operations for over 30 years. Offering a true one-stop-shop service, they cover everything from vehicle maintenance and MOTs to specialist repairs across a wide range of fleet assets—including tractors, trailers, fridge units, tankers, and more.

They’re now looking for a Refrigeration Engineer to join the team and help support the UK’s biggest fleet operators.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Servicing and repairing a wide range of transport refrigeration units (including Carrier Transicold)
  • Installing fridge units on trailers, trucks, and light commercial vehicles
  • Diagnosing and fixing electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults
  • Working independently on customer sites in a mobile capacity
  • Joining an on-call rota for out-of-hours breakdowns
  • Supporting and mentoring Apprentices and junior engineers
  • Accurately logging all work completed via a mobile app
  • Maintaining van stock and delivering first-time fixes whenever possible
  • Ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are always met

What You’ll Bring

  • F-Gas C&G 2079-11 Certification
  • A valid UK driving licence
  • Proven experience installing and repairing transport refrigeration units
  • Background in a similar mobile engineering or field-based role
  • Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and technical skills
  • Great communication and a strong customer service focus
  • A hardworking, self-motivated attitude
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
