Our client is a leading provider of Operated and Self-Drive Plant Hire and Transport Services to the UK construction industry and are looking to recruit a Workshop Foreman at the newly opened site.
Your responsibilities as a Plant Workshop Foreman:
- Overseeing the maintenance and repair of a variety of plant machinery.
- Managing a team of technicians responsible for servicing and repairing a variety of plant machinery including excavators, telehandlers, dumpers and more. This involves assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and monitoring performance to ensure timely completion of work.
- Ensuring that all maintenance and repair work meets the required standards of quality and safety.
- Provide support and mentoring for less experienced Plant Fitters.
- Managing inventory levels of generator parts, supplies, and equipment needed for maintenance and repair work.
- Interacting with customers to understand their Plant hire rental needs, providing cost estimates, and communicating updates on the status of Plant Hire maintenance and repair work.
Experience essential for this Plant Workshop Foreman role:
- Full UK Driving Licence is required.
- Must have previous experience working as a Workshop Foreman in a similar industry.
- NVQ or City & Guilds in a relevant field.
- A can do attitude.
