About the Role
We are seeking a Retrofit Surveyor to conduct comprehensive surveys on Social Housing properties, assessing multiple energy efficiency measures such as External Wall Insulation (EWI), Cavity Wall Insulation, Loft Insulation, and more. This role is ideal for experienced professionals or those looking to transition from Domestic Energy Assessing into Retrofit Surveying.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical surveys on social housing properties to assess suitability for retrofit measures.
- Perform floor plan assessments, heat surveys, and thermal imaging to evaluate energy efficiency improvements.
- Capture detailed photographs and documentation to support retrofit recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with PAS 2035 standards and relevant building regulations.
- Provide risk assessments and ensure safe access for installation teams.
- Collaborate with Retrofit Coordinators and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Advise residents on energy efficiency improvements and potential benefits.
Requirements
- Experience in Retrofit Surveying or Domestic Energy Assessing (DEA) with a willingness to transition into retrofit work.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency measures, including insulation, ventilation, and heating solutions.
- Familiarity with PAS 2035 guidelines and UK building regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret survey data.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with residents, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- DEA or Retrofit Assessor certification (preferred but not essential – training provided).
