We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Advisor to join our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, conducting market research, and managing leads through our CRM system. This role requires a proactive approach and a professional demeanour to engage potential clients effectively.
Action Business Development by proactive telemarketing against an agreed client sector growth plan to promote the company products. This is over new and lapsed clients to ensure customer database is continually updated and focused BDA campaigns are conducted with the objectives of securing increased year on year profitable business.
Process any leads or enquiries in terms of adding them to company database and/or contacting them to ascertain suitability for us to do business with. This role is screening the potential client for the Business Development Manager who will close the deal. Work with Marketing department to nurture leads generated through email marketing campaigns.
The Role
- Initiate contact with prospects through calls and email to introduce clients services and solutions.
- Build rapport and establish relationships with prospects to understand their needs and challenges.
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential markets, industries, and clients that align with our clients offerings.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform business development strategies.
- Process and manage leads through the CRM system, ensuring accurate and timely updates on interactions and follow-ups.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities, collaborating with the sales team.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism in all communications, both written and verbal, with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with the marketing team to align business development efforts with marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall strategy for business growth.
- Completion of specific campaigns as directed by Management.
- Handle incoming enquiries from the 0800 number or website, including the routing of enquiries.
- Actively follow formal processes put into place as part of ISO9001.
- Attend meetings as and when necessary.
- Undertake any reasonable request when given by a member of senior management.
- To be guided by Team Leader on prioritisation of workload for forthcoming week.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a business development/telesales environment.
- GCSE Maths & English minimum.
- IT literacy of Microsoft suite of packages including, Word, Outlook, Excel.
- Strong telephone skills with a track record of successfully generating leads.
- Proficient in using CRM software to manage leads and track sales activities.
- Excellent research and analytical skills to identify market opportunities and trends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid Driving Licence and mode of transport.
