Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Joinery Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing drawings, specifications, and project requirements to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for bespoke joinery and fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents for joinery and fit-out projects.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations including materials, labour, and subcontractor costs.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability of materials.
- Work closely with the design, production, and project management teams to ensure alignment on project scope and cost.
- Participate in tender reviews and bid submissions.
- Identify and assess risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
- Maintain and update a database of cost information and historical estimates.
- Attend site visits and client meetings as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in estimating within the joinery, carpentry, or fit-out sector.
- Strong knowledge of joinery manufacturing processes, materials, and current market rates.
- Proficiency in estimating software, Excel and ability to read CAD drawings.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of five yearsβ experience.
