Aspire People are looking for a Specialist Support Practitioner to work in a vibrant, inclusive and nurturing learning environment dedicated to supporting every child to reach their full potential. We are currently seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and skilled Specialist Support Practitioner to join our dedicated team from September 2025.
Role Overview: The successful candidate will work closely with pupils across the school, providing targeted support for children with a range of additional needs including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Dyslexia
- Dyspraxia
- Global Developmental Delay
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalised intervention programmes based on individual learning plans.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCO, and external agencies.
- Monitor and track pupil progress and contribute to review meetings.
- Build positive and supportive relationships with children, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Provide structured support during class time, as well as in small groups or one-to-one sessions.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and global delay.
- A warm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude and a passion for inclusive education.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare or SEND support (desirable).
