Our client is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Internal Sales Engineer (Mechanical bias). The ideal Internal Sales Engineer will have a mechanical engineering degree/background.
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 pa
Location: West Kent – near Bromley/Orpington
Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm

- 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays plus an additional 3-4 days over the Christmas Period. After 5 years of continuous service the holiday is increased by 2 days and then an additional day for every year worked with a cut off at 5 extra days.
The Internal Sales Engineer will be fully office based and in time will be required to travel – UK driving license essential. The Internal Sales Engineer role supports the field sales team with pre and after sales advice, quoting, follow up calls (no outbound sales).
- Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients through managing and interpreting their requirements
- Monitor USA/UK/Asia/Europe/China/ROW with regards to quotes converted through to orders.
- Preparing client quotations for spares, whole systems and following them up to see if the quotes met with their expectations and updating the CRM system accordingly
- Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product training, and sales support services
- Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs
- Liaising with the engineering team
- Producing, maintaining and editing the price lists
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Engineering is desirable or qualified by experience
- 2 years previous experience working within Engineering, sales is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable with speaking to customers on the phone
- Flexible and have a can-do attitude
- Team Player - essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
