Urban Connect are currently supporting a Tier 1 Water Contractor who are already winning a number of Thames Water projects, currently recruiting for 2 X Design Managers to lead the design on £50m STW schemes. This is a hybrid role with weekly site visits for all hands meetings. The Design Manager will report into a Senior Design Manager who oversees 2 projects, so will have a lot of support, but will be the main point of contact for the client and 3rd parties.

Key Responsibilities will be:

  • Lead multi-discipline design delivery (M&E, Civil, Structural, Architectural & Other Specialists)
  • Implement value engineering principles to optimise design solutions and minimise costs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on design-related matters
  • Manage the design budget and schedule, tracking progress and reporting on any variances.
