The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
Within the Safety Case discipline, you will be supporting clients as part of a team in projects of new build, decommissioning, or ongoing operational facilities in providing safety cases and associated assessments to ensure work is delivered to a high standard, timely, and to the programme agreed.
Role and Responsibilities
- Developing and presenting robust and reasoned arguments in a rational and coherent manner.
- Delivering consultancy that meets, and exceeds the expectations of the client, in regard to technical excellence and the quality of deliverables.
- Delivering consultancy that meets, and exceeds the expectations of the client, in terms of timescales and cost, in a way that supports the long-term growth of the business and its reputation.
- Managing this work (in the form of small to medium sized projects) either as a project or technical lead.
- Delivering the work within budget and to the agreed programme whilst keeping track of the project (all aspects).
- Liaising with all concerned of both technical and commercial progress.
- Developing skills in growing projects.
- Identifying opportunities with clients and supporting, mentoring, coaching, and helping others to develop within the business.
Preferred Role Requirements
- The Safety Case team encourages diversity of thought and welcomes applications from candidates with transferable skills that can be applied to nuclear decommissioning projects; therefore, there are no minimum role requirements, and candidates will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
- A Degree or equivalent in engineering, science, or related field of study.
- Hold a minimum of ‘SC’ UK Security Clearance, or willingness to obtain a security clearance.
- Minimum of 10 years professional engineering/technical specialist experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and experience in the management and production of complex safety cases, for a number of plant types at different lifecycle stages, as part of a team, demonstrating the capability to work unsupervised within a team.
- A good working knowledge of the QMS, in particular to the ‘Opportunity to Order’ and ‘Order to Project Completion’ requirements.
- Good understanding of the NEC 3 contract systems.
