Our privately owned client is a leading name within the enabling works sector, who pride themselves on their excellent reputation to deliver projects within budget and to programme, whilst always maintaining high standards and quality. They are a professional, technically minded and modern outfit who have proven success of operating primarily as principle contractor on their projects throughout the City. Much of their work is secured due to repeat business and package values generally range from £2M up to £15M. As a multifaceted contractor, their core areas of expertise include demolition and dismantling, temporary works, façade retention, structural alterations and substructure packages and current turnover stands in excess of £65M.

Due to ongoing company growth, my client is looking to expand their in-house temporary works design capabilities and is therefore recruiting permanently for a Temporary Works Design Engineer to provide design engineering services within the Temporary Works Design Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you will be competent in the production of temporary works within the demolition, piling, basement construction and heavy civil engineering sectors (experience with temporary works design, basement propping schemes and pile design and steel towers for party wall retention, excavations and the alike) and will represent the company at meetings with clients, other professionals and suppliers.

For this permanent opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from £45,000 to £65,000 per annum however there may be flexibility on this as the specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer which includes a car allowance, travel expenses and private health care in addition to the usual benefits associated with a large successful company.

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you should hold suitable tertiary qualifications and be accredited by a professional body or working towards full chartership. Additionally, you will have vast working knowledge of the current ‘Euro’ code design standards, hold a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in the design of temporary works within sectors such as demolition, piling, bulk excavation and basement construction and have good knowledge of the use of AutoCAD / 3D Modelling.
