The BMS Contracts Manager position involves contributing to an organization that values innovation, precision, and teamwork. The role will be based in London with occasional travel to sites within London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Have overall responsibility of multiple projects from order acknowledgment to conclusion.
  • Be a team leader and provide strategic direction to a team of Project Managers.
  • Undertake monthly contract reviews with the project teams.
  • Communicate and manage resource requirements across the project teams and wider business.
  • Attend sites regularly, undertake leadership tours and be a point of client escalation.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with supply chain including installation specialists.
  • Promote and maintain high health and safety standards across all sites.
  • Enforce quality standards and ensure teams are working to the integrated management system (IMS) and standard operating procedures.
Technical Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of the BMS, ICT & ELVS industry.
  • Previous experience in a contracts manager and or senior project manager role.
  • Technical Qualification in an appropriate discipline (e.g. BMS/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering).
  • Construction Contractual Awareness.
  • IT proficient, fluent with Microsoft 365.
  • CSCS/ECS Card Holder.
The Key Result Areas for this role are:
  • Project Delivery: Ensures company quality standards are upheld. [ISO 9001 / 14001 Quality Control System]. Utilising the information provided at sales handover meetings, information contained in the contract, specifications and drawings. Interpret and fully understand the contracted scope of works for any assigned projects. Prepare, manage and update work programmes. Provide direction, control and implementation of projects to a high standard. Review and certify sub-contract applications alongside project managers. Ensure company workforce and sub-contractors understand and comply with all current legislation, company policies, MSRAs, site rules and toolbox talks.
  • Commercial Awareness: Ensures work is carried out efficiently to maximise company profitability. Ensures additional works are identified and additional costs claimed for when appropriate. Accurately record any site delays and their causes. Review monthly cost/project reports for/with the Commercial Manager. Approve time sheets and holiday requests for staff and sub-contractors working on assigned projects.
  • Team Involvement: Provides technical and non-technical support to less experienced members of staff within the business. Contributes to a friendly and positive environment within the company. Prepared to take a lead role when required.
