Our client is the Asset Finance division of a highly successful bank. They are looking to recruit an experienced Asset Finance Collections Team Leader. The successful candidate will be a results-driven leader with a background in Asset Finance Collections. You will play a crucial role in leading and coaching the Collections team to achieve outstanding results. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient collection of Asset Finance arrears and maintaining a pro-active collections strategy.
Your Responsibilities:
- Line manage and coach all direct reports, including all aspects of performance management, development, conduct, sickness management, appraisals, employee administration, and recruitment.
- Create Personal Development Plans with each member of the Collections team and execute upon that plan.
- Be accountable for the results and performance of the Collections team.
- Effectively monitor and manage workflow queues and activities.
- Act as the escalation point for the Collections Officers on technical queries and take escalated calls from Brokers/Customers as required, as well as being the initial escalation point for other Functions such as Credit and Customer Service.
- Pro-actively manage the asset finance portfolio.
- Assess each arrears account and assist the team in making appropriate recommendations to management as to the most appropriate action to resolve, while also treating the customer fairly.
