Remedy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intervention Teaching Assistant who is willing to support key stage 2 pupils in a classroom setting. This role involves supporting children both academically and behaviourally. As an Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the students.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

Requirements:

  • Previous child-based experience: A proven track record of working with children in an educational or supportive capacity.
  • Experience with SEND: A solid understanding of and experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • DBS on the update service: A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
  • Passion for education: A genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the educational development and well-being of young individuals.
  • A*- C in both Maths and English.
