A home from home family run Nursery in Queensbury is looking for a Level 3 practitioner to join the team to work with the under 2's or over 2's. The nursery is medium sized and caters for up to 40 children in total between the ages of 6 months to 5 years. The under 2's room caters for a maximum of 6 children, while the over 2's room caters for a maximum of 30 children.

The Manager is looking for someone who is warm, caring, kind and passionate about childcare. This is a full-time permanent position with opening hours between 8am-5pm. You will be required to work 40 hours per week; therefore, please only apply if you can commit to the following:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Different shifts alternate between 8am to 4pm, 8.30am to 4.30pm & 9am to 5pm

  • Minimum Level 3 Qualified in Childcare
  • Experience working with Early Years
  • Up to date DBS (If not, must be willing to complete one)
  • Understanding of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding & EYFS
  • Excellent communication skills both written & spoken

You will be required to carry out the following duties:

  • Working in a team and alongside Room Leader
  • Follow Nursery's policies and procedures
  • Sharing innovative new ideas
  • Ensuring the children's needs are met as well as keeping them safe at all times
  • Carry out observations and planning on key children
  • Communicate with children, staff and parents on a daily basis

The nursery closes for 2 weeks at the beginning of August and 2 weeks at Christmas. You will receive 28 days annual leave which includes Bank holidays, with a salary starting at £26,000. Start ASAP.
