Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Private Client Solicitor to join a thriving and experienced team. Reporting directly to the Head of Private Client, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ PQE, specialising in wills, estate administration, lasting powers of attorney, trusts, and related private client matters. This role offers significant opportunities for professional development within a forward-thinking firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on wills, estate planning, trusts, tax issues, powers of attorney, estate administration, and inheritance matters.
  • Managing incoming instructions and supporting the wider team.
  • Conducting client meetings at various locations including homes, nursing homes, and hospitals.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and local professionals.
  • Drafting legal documentation and correspondence accurately.
  • Managing client billing effectively.
  • Utilising case management software daily.
  • Participating in marketing events and contributing to the firm's business development activities.

Requirements:

  • 3-8+ years PQE in Private Client law.
  • Strong expertise in estate planning, will preparation, and powers of attorney.
  • Experience handling taxable estates and trust administration.
  • Ability to draft complex legal documents with high accuracy.
  • STEP membership is essential; Association of Lifetime Lawyers membership is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent with Microsoft Word and willingness to learn case management systems.
