Our client, a well-established and highly respected fire protection contractor, is looking to recruit a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a commercially astute QS to step into a secure, long-term role within a business that values its people and offers genuine room for progression. You'll be joining a supportive team, delivering a mix of live and tendered projects across various sectors - with a focus on quality, compliance, and commercial excellence.

Role Overview: As Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for overseeing the commercial delivery of multiple fire protection projects. This includes preparing and managing valuations, procurement of subcontractors, and ensuring contracts are delivered profitably and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing interim valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accounts
  • Supporting with tender pricing, take-offs, and cost planning
  • Managing subcontractor procurement, orders, and payments
  • Tracking project costs and forecasting commercial performance
  • Liaising closely with site teams, clients, and senior stakeholders
  • Maintaining contract compliance and supporting dispute resolution where required

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction, ideally fire protection, M&E, or fit-out
  • Strong commercial acumen with a detail-oriented approach
  • Excellent understanding of JCT and/or NEC forms of contract
  • Confident communicator who can build strong client and internal relationships
  • Competent with Excel and industry-related software
  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying
