We're looking for a Business Development superstar to join our mission to become the most successful UK-born FinTech. Do you have what it takes to be considered "world-class"? £50-60k base (depending on experience) + comms, £80-110k+ OTE (not capped) - the skies really are the limits!

VOLOPA provides a single platform to utilise real-time company spending controls for our clients via our clever Mastercard © - all from their desktop or via our intelligent mobile app, and to allow our clients to make fast (often same-day), secure International Payments/FX.

About the role

We require a Business Development Representative (BDR) to seek and close new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas as well as being able to close leads we provide as well as creating your own outreach. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers. Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth. The role is hybrid and will comprise a mixture of working from our London office and WFH.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns, sales opportunities, and lead management.
  • Identify and contact potential clients through cold calls and emails.
  • Present our company to potential clients.
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services.
  • Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives.
  • Report on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results.
  • Stay up to date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans.

Requirements

  • 3 years + work experience as a Salesperson, BDR or similar role.
  • Experience in Financial Technology is a bonus.
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce or HubSpot).
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analysing spreadsheets and charts).
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
