Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Outreach Tutor to work 1:1 with students who have SEN, SEMH, and behavioural needs. As an Outreach Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons in English and Maths along with educational support and interventions to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic and personal goals.
Responsibilities:
– Provide individualised educational support to students with SEN, SEMH, behaviour needs and more.
– Develop and implement personalised learning plans based on students\’ strengths, needs, and learning styles.
– Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to students\’ unique requirements and interests.
– Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to enhance students\’ learning experiences.
– Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes confidence, independence, and resilience.
– Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
– Monitor and track student progress, and adjust teaching strategies as needed to address evolving needs.
– Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, assessments, and student progress reports.
Requirements:
– Bachelor\’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related field (preferred but not essential)
– Previous experience working with students with SEN, SEMH, or behaviour needs. (Must have)
– Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and behavioural challenges.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
– Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
– Commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality in education.
