A newly created Head of HSES vacancy working for a leading manufacturer based in Berkshire. Reporting into the Managing Director and working closely with the company's leadership team to support their ambitious growth plans over the next eight to ten years. The role has two direct reports and there are opportunities for development and progression in the wider group.
The Head of Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability aspects of the business are legally compliant and meet customer standards.
- Developing and implementing the site's HSE strategy, policies, and continuous improvement plans.
- Maintaining HSES Management Systems comparable to ISO Standards and ensure a sustainable, safe, and healthy supply chain.
- Setting and reporting Environmental and Sustainability Key Result Areas (KRAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and ensure audit readiness at all times.
The Head of Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability will have:
- NEBOSH Diploma, ideally CMIOSH and an IEMA accredited Environmental and Sustainability Management Course.
- At least five years of experience as a Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager in the Food or Pharmaceutical Industry, with senior management experience.
- Experience in developing HSES strategies, policies, and continuous improvement plans, and familiarity with ISO Standards (ISO 45001, 14001, 50001, 20121).
- Ability to lead the HSES team, support managers in HSE risk control, and develop staff awareness for safe and sustainable work practice.
