Are you an experienced Production Operative with strong meat experience? We’re looking for dedicated individuals with a background in meat cutting, sausage packing, or butchery to join our food manufacturing centre in Preston. This is a hands-on role in a chilled environment, perfect for someone used to working with meat and who has the drive to work as part of a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out skilled meat cutting, portioning, and sausage packing duties to specification.
- Use packaging and heat sealing machinery – previous experience beneficial.
- Complete digital traceability records accurately on an iPad – strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills are essential.
- Work in a chilled environment (5°C) while adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards.
- Lift products up to 25kg and support general cleaning within the production area.
- Meet productivity targets and health and safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous meat experience in a production operative or butcher role (essential).
- Strong English language skills (spoken and written).
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete digital forms accurately.
- Experience in food manufacturing or manual handling is advantageous but not essential.
