What You’ll Be Doing:
As an Electrical Supervisor, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our homes are safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standard. You’ll manage the day-to-day delivery of all electrical tasks, from installations to testing and support a team of electricians through leadership and guidance.
Key Areas of Daily Tasks:
- Supervise Electrical Operations: Oversee electrical installations, responsive repairs, planned works, heating systems, and full rewires - ensuring safety, quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Act as Qualified Supervisor (QS): Review, validate, and sign off all electrical certification and testing documentation in line with NICEIC and BS7671 standards.
- Team Leadership & Development: Support and mentor your team, monitor individual and team performance, and ensure qualifications and training stay up to date.
- Customer Service Leadership: Handle escalated customer issues promptly, supporting high satisfaction through clear communication and professional resolutions.
- Compliance & Record-Keeping: Ensure all inspection, testing, and remedial works are properly recorded, compliant, and audit-ready.
- Health & Safety Focus: Promote and enforce safe working practices, correct use of PPE, and adherence to health and safety legislation.
- Support and Collaboration: Liaise with internal stakeholders, deputise for the Senior Electrical Operations Manager, and contribute to strategic improvements.
What You’ll Need:
We’re seeking someone who brings both technical expertise and team leadership. You’ll need to demonstrate:
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience in electrical works.
- City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395, or equivalent inspection & testing qualifications.
- City & Guilds 2360, 2330, or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or approved equivalents).
- AM2 qualification and significant post-qualification experience.
- Current or previous Qualified Supervisor (QS) status with a recognised body (e.g., NICEIC or NAPIT).
- A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel across properties in our region.
