We are currently looking for a Field Applications Engineer (Durakool) to join our busy team in Copthorne, West Sussex!
As a Field Applications Engineer (Durakool), you will deliver engineering excellence by collaborating with customers and various internal teams, including Sales Support and Product Management. Your role involves leveraging your knowledge of contactors and relays to develop innovative technical solutions tailored to customer needs. You will be customer-facing, ensuring that the Durakool brand is seen as a subject matter expert while also driving sales growth and product improvements.
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Essential Criteria β Field Application Engineer (Durakool)
- Education & Qualifications
- Masterβs degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of international certifications and standards, including UL, CE, CCC, and VDE.
- In-depth relay and contactor know-how, including:
- Electrical design
- Thermal considerations
- Mechanical and system-level design
- Broad application know-how with proven experience in:
- Electric Vehicles (EV)
- Energy Storage Systems (ESS)
- Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Other relevant industrial, power switching, or automotive applications.
- Proven experience in Field Application Engineering or technical customer support roles.
- Demonstrated service experience with customers, from pre-sales consultation to post-sales technical support.
- History of delivering certified, validated, and robust engineering solutions.
- Active involvement in design validation, testing, and integration with customer systems.
- Strong project management and technical leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented, with an analytical and methodical approach to engineering challenges.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of how engineering supports business growth.
Field Applications Engineer (Durakool) Benefits:
