We’re working with a well-established building technology specialist looking to grow their team in the Midlands. If you’re experienced with Trend and/or Distech systems and enjoy delivering technical excellence across service, maintenance and small works, this could be a great fit.
As a BMS Service and Small Works Engineer, you are responsible for maintaining and servicing Building Management Systems across commercial and industrial buildings. Your key focus is to provide reactive support and planned service visits to ensure optimal system performance across HVAC, lighting, and environmental controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality servicing, maintenance, and commissioning support for Building Management Systems across a diverse portfolio of clients
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and small works commissioning activities
- Independently diagnose and resolve system faults with a logical, methodical approach
- Liaise directly with customers to ensure an excellent standard of communication and service
- Recommend upgrades or enhancements to improve resilience and efficiency on client sites
- Participate in the on-call rota to support critical contracts when required
- Deliver remedial works and reactive support across your allocated region
Skills Required
- Strong experience with Trend IQ2 to IQ5 systems
- Excellent customer-facing communication and stakeholder liaison skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Competence in fault-finding, problem-solving and making technical recommendations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Trend SET, IQVision, and 963 software
- Awareness or experience with Tridium and/or Distech systems
- Background in the construction or building services sector
- Familiarity with health and safety processes and documentation
- CSCS or equivalent industry card
- Self-motivated, with a flexible and can-do approach
- Adaptable team player with a positive, professional attitude
- Full UK driving licence required
