Full job description Role: Operations Manager (Engineering) Salary: £50k – 55k per year Hours: Full time, Permanent (Monday – Friday) Locations: Covering Northwest & up to Midlands Are you an experienced Operations Manager with a solid background within the Engineering Industry? Are you looking for a new challenge in a role with good future potential? Then we would like to hear from you. Our client is one of the largest, independent, and privately-owned companies providing best-in-class people, technology, and training solutions looking for an operations manager. You will be required to oversee day-to-day activities within the organisation to ensure efficient and effective operations. You will be responsible for managing the various aspects of the business, including but not limited to general install surveys, Quality Control, day to day engineers & contractors Management and assisting admin in planning works. You must have knowledge or experience within either the General Engineering, Precision Engineering or Service and Repair industries. Key attributes required for the role: Must have a minimum of 5 years management experience Must have worked within Engineering, Precision Engineering or Service and Repair industries Strong technical machining and engineering background Ideally educated to Degree level within an engineering discipline Good understanding and knowledge of budget control Strong quality management skills A leader in engineering and technical service Excellent communication skills. High levels of Energy, Drive and Confidence An excellent leader and motivator Possess good customer service skills when engaging with customers and suppliers alike Hands on approach and not afraid to get your hands dirty A systematic approach to equipment preventative maintenance and yield efficiency mentality Good problem solver who can manage time critical, multiple events in a positive manner Works well under pressure Possess an Entrepreneurial spiritThe role is for a full time working hours & a good degree of flexibility required in regard to start and finish times.
