Our client is a leading UK based, private drainage and watermain contractor, providing professional drainage and watermain solutions to commercial and domestic clients across London and the Home Counties. As a Water Safe Approved company, they are committed to ensuring the utmost safety and quality of work on every drainage or watermain project. This means ensuring all relevant health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to, protecting you and those around you, the public, and our skilled engineers.

The Role: As a Water Engineer, you will be independently completing water supply pipe investigations and repairs on-site for our customers. The company aims to ensure that works are completed during the first visit where possible, so great problem-solving skills are essential to overcome unforeseen challenges. You will be responsible for caring for the customer on-site, so excellent customer care is vital – you’ll need to confidently talk the customer through the works to leave them with reassurance and peace of mind. The company’s dedicated in-house Technical Support Team will be there at all times to help with any issues you may face whilst on the job, from technical problems to vehicle and kit requirements.

Experience:

  • Moling experience
  • Logical approach to water mains investigation to establish ownership of supplies
  • 20mm to 32mm service laying including the creation of new 'Point of Entry'
  • National Water Hygiene Card EUSR (Blue Card)
  • Trenchless installation via moling
  • Use of a CAT scanner in order to identify buried services and to trace/locate the existing metallic water supply
  • Reinstatement of various different domestic surface types (Paving Slabs, Block Paving, Cold Lay Tarmac, Concreting etc.)
  • Excellent standard of customer care
  • Full UK driving licence with less than 6 points
  • Ability to pass a basic DBS check
