This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Renewable Energy sectors. The successful engineer must have experience of early concept / feasibility studies for terminal projects. This role is deemed outside IR35.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing early concept / feasibility studies for terminal projects.
  • Develop the scope of work / basis of design for studies and projects.
  • Development and checking of process calculations.
  • Preparation and checking of process deliverables – PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, process descriptions, philosophies and narratives.
  • Supporting safety related calculations reviews – What If, Hazop SIL Assessment, etc.
  • Utilise process simulation software as required for the development of process deliverables.
  • Attend in-house and site-based meetings / reviews with clients.
  • Undertake short and long-term business travel in support of studies, projects and consultancy.

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering essential, chartered status desired but not essential.
  • Must have early feasibility studies for terminal project experience.
  • Previously worked on design projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochem, or Renewable Energy industries.
  • Experience in relevant design standards and protocols.
  • Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.
