We are seeking an experienced Operational Technology Consultant to join our dynamic team, working across critical infrastructure, manufacturing, equipment vendors, and professional services sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in addressing cybersecurity challenges, particularly in OT security risk management, and possess a deep understanding of integrated information systems and OT. Strong teamwork, excellent communication, and the ability to influence stakeholders are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement inventive solutions within critical infrastructure, manufacturing, and industrial sectors.
  • Lead OT cybersecurity risk management initiatives, ensuring alignment with evolving industry standards and emerging threats.
  • Provide expert guidance on process control, SCADA, distributed control systems, PLCs, RTUs, and industrial data communications.
  • Advise on OT architecture, security monitoring, and industrial cybersecurity best practices.
  • Work across key industries, including electricity generation, transmission, distribution, oil & gas, water, civil nuclear, transport, and critical infrastructure.
  • Apply and interpret key security standards and frameworks such as NCSC NIS Guidance, CAF, ISO 27001, ISO 27005, NERC CIP, ISA-99/IEC 62443, and NIST CSF.
  • Collaborate effectively with client stakeholders, nurturing relationships and providing strategic cybersecurity counsel.
  • Support business development and client engagement activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Expertise in security management of industrial control systems and OT applications, including: Process control, SCADA, distributed control, PLCs and RTUs, Industrial cybersecurity and data communications, IoT and Industrial IoT, Electricity network control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of OT risk management, architecture, and monitoring practices.
  • Sector experience across one or more of the following: electricity, smart energy, oil & gas, water, nuclear, transport (aviation, rail, maritime, road, autonomous vehicles), and critical infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with leading cybersecurity standards and frameworks: NCSC NIS Guidance, CAF, ISO 27001, ISO 27005, NERC CIP, ISA-99/IEC 62443, NIST CSF.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience applying consulting methodologies to solve complex OT challenges.
  • Interest in business development and proposal creation.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying ahead of emerging OT security trends.
