Join our dynamic Refining and Packing team at the iconic Thames Refinery in Silvertown, East London as a Multi-skilled Engineering Apprentice. Over the course of a 4-year apprenticeship, you will master best engineering practices and dive into the fascinating world of sugar refining and packing. As an apprentice, you will:

  • Position, assemble, install, and dismantle mechanical and electrical plant and equipment according to specifications.
  • Perform planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance procedures on plant and equipment.
  • Replace, repair, and/or remove components in plant and equipment to ensure their return to operational condition.
  • Diagnose and determine the cause of faults in plant and equipment.
  • Develop and apply continuous improvement principles.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand written instructions.
  • Numeracy and Literacy skills to 4-grade Maths and English GCSE's (or equivalent).
  • Hands-on, practical skills and ability to demonstrate experience or development of these.
  • Good team worker and communicator with a flexible approach to work.
