ellenor is a charity and a specialist palliative care provider for adults and children in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley, and for children across the London Borough of Bexley. The Organisation has In-patient, Community, Wellbeing and therapeutic services at Northfleet.
We are looking for an experienced Registered nurse with a minimum of 2 years post registration with a strong clinical background in palliative/cancer care. You will be responsible for ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care and family support across the care directorate.

Role:
You will be responsible for ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care and family support across the care directorate. Working with the Operational Lead to forge successful relationships with all ellenor care directorate services and community providers to promote ellenor as the local lead for palliative care.

As a Senior Staff Nurse you will have responsibility for:
• To ensure the delivery of high-quality specialist palliative nursing care.
• Supervise and participate in the delivery of evidence-based nursing care.
• To lead in the planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans for the patient and their family taking into account their physical, social and spiritual needs in all care settings.
• To work proactively to support patients who wished to be cared for at home or until an Inpatient bed becomes available. Work closely with the ward and duty nurse to facilitate effective admission and discharge planning.
• To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide advice and guidance related to complex symptom management, and physiological, social and

• At least three years post RN qualification experience within a relevant specialist field
• Working towards post – registration qualification in Palliative Care
• Willingness to work towards Diploma / Degree
• Mentorship qualification or willing to work towards
• Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional development
• In this position, it is necessary to have a full driving licence and access to a car as you will be required to travel to between locations.
