I am currently collaborating with a Top Pharmaceutical company that are looking for an experienced Medical Affairs leader to join their team! In this role you will take part in shaping the global medical vision and optimizing the full lifecycle of high-impact medical assets. In this senior role, you will drive the alignment of medical deliverables with the goals of the Global Asset Teams, positioning the asset for sustained success in a dynamic healthcare landscape. Additionally, you will define, drive, and deliver a comprehensive, integrated medical strategy that aligns seamlessly with R&D, access, commercial, regulatory, and manufacturing plans to support the global brand vision. This is a unique opportunity to influence pivotal decision-making and elevate our global impact through every phase of the asset lifecycle, ensuring its value to patients, healthcare providers, and stakeholders worldwide.

Main responsibilities / job expectations:

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the integrated evidence generation plan (IEGP) for the asset.
  • Support the development and execution of the medical plan in alignment with lifecycle management strategies.
  • Analyze and synthesize scientific literature, clinical data, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide medical input into the design and execution of clinical trials and observational studies.
  • Review clinical study protocols, investigator brochures, and study reports to ensure scientific and clinical rigor.
  • Liaise with clinical operations and other functions to ensure timely execution of trials within medical standards.
  • Support development of core scientific content for medical education, KOL engagement, and congress presentations.
  • Contribute to scientific publications, abstracts, posters, and presentations in collaboration with medical writing and publication teams.
  • Represent the company at scientific congresses and engage with KOLs and external stakeholders to gather insights and communicate medical value.
  • Collaborate closely with Regulatory, Safety, HEOR, Market Access, and Commercial functions to align medical deliverables with business needs.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute medical expertise to inform strategy, tactics, and risk mitigation.
  • Partner with country medical teams to ensure local execution is aligned with the global medical plan.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with relevant SOPs, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Support internal reviews and governance processes for promotional and non-promotional material development.
  • Act as a therapeutic area expert within the team, providing insights into the disease area, treatment landscape, and emerging trends.
  • Support internal training and scientific alignment across the asset team and broader medical affairs organization.

Education / Certifications: MD; PharmaD
