Are you an experienced Civil Design Engineer with a passion for shaping residential communities? We're looking for a Senior Civils Design Engineer to join our client who is growing out their infrastructure team. As the Senior Design Engineer you will lead the design of drainage and highway schemes across a diverse portfolio of residential developments.
About the Role:
You'll play a key role in delivering technical designs for residential roads and drainage infrastructure, working closely with architects, developers, and planning consultants. From initial feasibility to detailed design and approvals, you'll be involved in all stages of the design process.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Designing adoptable and private highways and drainage systems for residential developments
- Preparing detailed technical drawings and calculations for Section 38, 104, and 278 agreements
- Using design software such as Site3D, PDS, MicroDrainage/Flow, and InfoDrainage
- Managing junior engineers and mentoring staff
- Liaising with clients, local authorities, and utility companies
- Ensuring designs comply with local and national guidance and standards (e.g., SuDS, DMRB, Sewers for Adoption)
What We're Looking For:
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or similar)
- Chartered or working toward chartership (ICE or equivalent)
- Strong residential infrastructure experience
- Proficient with Site3D, PDS, Flow, and InfoDrainage
- Strong knowledge of adoptable infrastructure requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
