We are working with a fast-growth DTC sports brand in Essex to help them hire for a newly created role on their team, a Head of Ecommerce. The brand has experienced rapid growth over the last 2 years and there is a strong DTC push with over 40% of their overall sales being through Amazon and via their website.
As Head of Ecommerce, you will spearhead their global DTC strategy across 4 major markets - UK, Germany, Japan and US, taking the brand to the next level. There will be a focus on strategic leadership, enhancing the customer journey and user experience as well as introducing loyalty/subscription programmes.
They need someone who has a proven track record of leading change through the website, via a team.
What You’ll Do:- Lead and define the global digital strategy to accelerate growth, championing a seamless and engaging customer journey across all platforms.
- Build, develop, and grow a high-performing team.
- Oversee a robust programme of UX enhancements and A/B testing to continuously optimise site performance.
- Drive SEO performance with technical enhancements and strategic content initiatives to maximise traffic and conversions.
- Boost customer lifetime value (LTV) through innovative loyalty programs, subscriptions, and personalised experiences.
- Own the commercial performance of all websites, leading campaigns and promotions that captivate and convert.
- Analyse data and uncover growth opportunities, translating insights into clear, actionable strategies.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Design, Operations, and Finance to elevate the digital experience.
- 5+ years experience working in a Senior Ecommerce leadership role.
- Experience working in a high-growth DTC scale up.
- A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and growing teams through a period of change.
- Experience managing multi-territory websites; familiarity with Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce is a plus.
- Track record in managing global or localised sites e.g German, US, Japan.
- A passion for sports or competitive products is a bonus!
