Senior Civil Engineer (Edinburgh/Glasgow) Our client, a well-established medium-sized engineering consultancy, is seeking a talented Senior Civil Engineer to join their Edinburgh or Glasgow office. The Role: As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will lead and manage a variety of civil infrastructure projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality, sustainable outcomes. You’ll also play a crucial role in mentoring and developing junior engineers, while helping to build and maintain strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Manage and mentor project teams, providing guidance to engineers at all experience levels and promoting a collaborative and supportive work culture. Project Oversight: Lead multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet the required quality standards. Coordinate resources effectively, engage with stakeholders, and adhere to the consultancy’s QMS and IMS procedures. Training & Development: Assess the training needs of junior engineers, ensure they have access to the necessary tools and software, and actively support their career development. Financial Management: Track project budgets and timelines, promptly addressing any changes in billing or resource allocation with senior management to maintain profitability. Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for repeat business and new projects.
