Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for an experienced Wardrobe Assistant to work on the London production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, this new play by Jack Thorne received its world premiere in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in summer 2016. The critically acclaimed production is the most awarded West End play in the history of the Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director in 2017. The Wardrobe Assistant will work Tuesday to Sunday. The ideal candidate will have the following:Experience in a similar position on a large-scale productionExcellent hand and machine sewing skillsAbility to learn and perform dressing cues; from simple to extensive plotsExcellent laundry skills – including ironingExperience of working as a team; great communication and friendly mannerAbility and desire to learn new methods and improvement to working practicesAbility to work under direction or independently, following tried and tested methodsGood computer skills with knowledge of Word and ExcelWe are committed to a workplace that embraces equality, diversity and inclusion.
