Vector Recruitment Solutions are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our clients expanding commercial team within the civil engineering and utilities sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with a strong eye for detail and commercial awareness to support high-profile infrastructure projects using cutting-edge and industry leading technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, valuations, and final accounts
- Monitor project costs and drive profitability through cost control
- Manage contracts and support contract negotiations
- Support the Commercial Manager with dispute resolution and claims management
- Submit timely and accurate payment applications / invoices and manage variations
- Collaborate with project teams on financial reporting and forecasting
Requirements:
- Experience as a Junior Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or Trainee QS within Civil Engineering, Drainage, or Utilities
- Knowledge of NEC, JCT, or similar contracts
- Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and cost management software
- HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineer or Construction Management (preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence
