Future Build Recruitment are working with a well-established specialist contractor seeking an experienced Estimator to join their Projects Division. The company delivers complex, high-value ground engineering schemes across the UK and Ireland, operating as a principal contractor, JV partner, or subcontractor depending on project scope. Their services span geotechnical, civil, marine, and tunnelling solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Estimator with geotechnical or civils experience to contribute to technically challenging and high-profile projects while working closely with experienced technical and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and assess incoming tender enquiries for geotechnical projects
- Prepare client-facing proposals and cost estimates, including value engineering options
- Develop win strategies and deliver competitive bids
- Collaborate with technical, operational, and commercial teams to mitigate project risks
- Write and present tender documentation
- Engage with clients throughout negotiations
- Maintain CRM systems and support wider business development initiatives
- Travel to client offices and project sites as needed
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven estimating experience within geotechnical or civil engineering sectors
- Strong technical knowledge of diaphragm walls, piling, grouting, or similar ground engineering techniques
- Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Salesforce, P6, and Candy experience desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
