Based at our Thornton Heath Garage, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of London buses to ensure they stay in tip-top shape and keep our passengers safe.

What Will You Be Doing?
As a Running Shift Engineer, no two days will be the same! You’ll have the responsibility of:
- Performing servicing, inspections, and repairs to the highest standards (DVSA and Arriva standards exceed the norm!).
- Carrying out diagnostic fault finding and contributing to the continuous improvement of vehicle reliability.
- Preparing buses for MOTs and supporting preventative maintenance campaigns to keep our fleet in peak condition.
- Working a 7/3/7/4 rotating shift pattern, including both early and late shifts - giving you flexibility and balance.
What Are We Looking For?
We’re looking for someone who is as passionate about quality as we are! To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- NVQ Level 2 or higher in PSV, HGV maintenance (or an equivalent international qualification).
- Alternatively, at least 5 years’ hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of PSV/HGV/light vehicles.
- A full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points).
- A valid PCV/PSV licence.
- The ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical.
