Role Description: We are seeking a conventional Marketer who possesses knowledge across a range of guitars. The successful post holder will be responsible for creating a detailed marketing plan in collaboration with the Sales Team and the Marketing Director to support any KPIs. Additionally, the post holder will assist and coordinate events related to Yamaha Guitars, Line 6 and Ampeg. This role requires strong collaboration skills, excellent communication and understanding of the music industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement product launches strategy into the UK Market and Dealer Sales Channels, ensuring alignment of sales and marketing activity.
- Includes collaboration with the press for reviews/editorials and strict embargo handling.
- Develop and execute the product marketing local action plan to drive sales across all relevant sectors, with measurable ROI and clear calls to action.
- Utilise Assets when required to support the Marketing output.
- Plan and manage PR strategies for product launches, targeting both specialist and non-specialist press to maximize reach and awareness.
- Ensure marketing activity aligns with Pan-European strategy, delivering against KPIs and HQ-set targets.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive marketing performance reports to track KPIs, analyse campaign effectiveness, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Create and manage channel marketing activities in collaboration with retailer partners to support product sell-through.
- Maximize product marketing potential in Yamaha Music London (own shop) through targeted promotions and coordinated campaigns.
- Support dealer marketing actions including web content, videos, product demos, and in-store displays.
- Work with the Digital Marketing Specialist to optimise retailer product reach through SEO/SEA, social media campaigns, retargeting, video, newsletters, and database growth.
- Plan and deliver event-based product promotions such as shows, exhibitions, and in-store demos, including creative direction and performance targets.
- Develop and maintain a team of product demonstrators to deliver engaging product presentations and stimulate sales.
- Attend events and exhibitions to support product promotion, including weekends where required.
- Provide internal and external product training to equip staff with expert knowledge, supported by regular updates and documentation.
- Liaise with Sales & Marketing Director, Sales Managers, and internal teams to align product initiatives and gather strategic feedback.
- Support HQ with copywriting and translations for product-related content (e.g., A+ content), ensuring timely, brand-consistent publication.
- Participate in HQ Guitar BU Meeting, working as one team, delivering ideas and collaborating on specific projects based on needs and capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Accredited Marketing Training.
- Experience presenting marketing campaign developments in the team.
- Basic grasp of digital marketing processes, i.e., Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO/SEM optimization, campaign tracking and reporting.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across the UK.
- Attend events/exhibitions when required, involving weekend work.
Essential Criteria:
- Able to commute to the Milton Keynes office 3 days per week.
- Good Knowledge of Guitar products and the guitar market.
- Core professional Marketing skills.
- Able to demonstrate to dealers/artists when required.
- 2+ years of Business Marketing.
- Commercial Awareness.
- Full UK Driving License.
