Q ² Solutions (an IQVIA Company) are looking to grow their Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team by appointing an EHS Specialist who will be responsible for the day-to-day management/implementation of site EHS policies and programs to provide a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace at their site in Livingston. This position is responsible for overseeing specific EHS programs at the site to assure compliance with Q ² Solutions Corporate/Global EHS programs and policies as well as applicable county, state/provincial and related EHS regulations. The EHS Specialist will also champion projects to achieve site goals and objectives., * Responsible for overseeing EHS programs at the business unit level for the Livingston site to ensure compliance with Q ² Solutions Corporate EHS policies as well as applicable environmental, health and safety regulatory obligations (e.g., US OSHA, UK HSE)

Ensure corrective actions are implemented at the site and documented in response to incidents, site audits, inspections, and ongoing reviews.

Maintain site compliance calendar, ensure all recurring compliance actions are assigned and verify timely completion.

Train large groups regarding safety procedures and governing environmental laws.

Conduct or coordinate internal site risk assessments, inspections, and audits to proactively identify, assess and manage risk.

Ensure adequate management of environmental, health, and safety resources for within the business (e.g., EHS Representatives, Fire wardens, First Aiders, My Green Lab representatives) and that they receive the appropriate training.

Identify training needs and ensure the delivery of appropriate training programs (e.g., risk assessors, safety coordinators, new hire/induction safety training, Chemical Safety) to ensure individuals at the sites comply with existing EHS requirements applicable to that site.

Champion site EHS Committee implementation and facilitate the Committee in the delivery of appropriate objectives.

Assess EHS programs within the business unit for prioritized risks in line with business objectives.

Maintain and develop EHS procedures, forms, policies and working documents for all applicable programs.

Maintain a current knowledge to ensure each site is compliant with country/state and local regulations and best practices related to EHS.

Assist investigation teams after incidents to conduct RCAs and develop CAPAs. Ensure actions are completed on time and effective.

Coordinate regulatory compliance and reporting with corresponding agencies.

Collate, report, monitor, and manage the site EHS key performance indicators, in line with Corporate EHS objectives.

NEBOSH General Certificate
-
2-3 years’ relevant experience in a site EHS role.

Working knowledge of UK Environmental, Health & Safety regulations

Good organization and analytical skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills (training/presentation, communication).

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients.

Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) Membership – CertIOSH
