An IG P&I Club in London are looking to hire a Claims Associate. The club are looking for a qualified solicitor with 1-5 PQE, gained either from private practice, P&I club or a legal role with a shipowner.
In this role you'll be advising shipowners and charterers regarding FD&D claims such as charterparties, bills of lading and supply time and demurrage plus some hull damage claims. You may also get involved with some offshore work and sale of contracts for traders, so you can expect a good variety of work.
Experience in all of these areas is not essential as training will be provided from your team, most of whom have been at the club for many years which is a testament to the collegiate working environment. There will be the opportunity to travel to meet clients in Europe and also Asia if desired.
