About the company
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a renewable energy specialist, based in Banbury, who are seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team.
Job Description
As Quality Engineer, your main responsibilities include:
- Project manage the quality aspects to NPI and Prototype manufacture
- Governance authority on quality elements of the NPI process, with key focus on Gateway approvals, comprehensive engineering drawings and specifications, and Design Quality methods
- Quality methods, for handover to Production
- Prototype manufacture and control
- V model (validation & verification)
Qualifications / Skills needed
- You will have proven experience, gained in a manufacturing quality environment, within the Automotive industry
- You will also have experience in the use of business improvement tools and techniques (5s, Lean, Kaizen), and using APQP tools and techniques
- Experience in the use of problem resolution tools (8D, 5 Why, 6 Sigma etc.) and techniques is a must, along with proven knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, TS16949 (IATF16949), and ISO14001.
- Experienced in the application of quality tools, essential to New Production Introduction - DFMEA, PFMEA and Control Plans
- Knowledge and use of statistical analysis and process capability studies, would be beneficial
