As our Paraplanner you will typically:
- Participate in and deliver comprehensive financial research, within set SLAs, on products and investments on an independent basis using company-approved research tools.
- Prepare and deliver bespoke investment reports, within set SLAs, to clients through the analysis of existing investment portfolios and comparison against suitable benchmarks.
- Prepare and interpret complex plan information with a view to completing transfer analysis.
- Prepare complex financial planning reports, within set SLAs, in multiple financial planning areas.
- Research and review, where necessary, new and existing legislation and technical/product information to aid in the role that is performed.
- Conduct thorough research where necessary and refer to Senior team members, where necessary.
- Participate in firm research projects, adhering to set deadlines, as and if required.
What we are looking for in our ideal Paraplanner:
- Diploma in Financial Planning.
- Demonstration of knowledge, interest and experience in personal financial planning and in the construction of financial planning research and suitability reports.
- Experience in an IFA environment, demonstrating quality communications of constructive feedback.
- A high standard of written and numerical skills.
- An ability to demonstrate strong report-writing skills.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Aptitude in Microsoft Office.
Key Risk Responsibilities:
- Completion of assigned tasks, ensuring that SLAs are adhered to.
- Delivery of accurate and thorough research, calculations, New Business Investment Reports and FPRs to advisers.
- Contribution into technical and regulatory development of advisers and/or staff on a specific case basis.
- Contribution into technical and regulatory development of Trainee Paraplanners.
- Conduct thorough research where necessary and refer to Senior team members, where necessary.
