We are currently recruiting for 2 Class 1 Drivers to join our client's busy operation in Southampton on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent position with a well-established company.
About the Role:
- Operating curtain-sided and box trailers safely and efficiently.
- Making timely deliveries to airports and ports across the region.
- Transporting a range of duty-free food, drink, and general goods.
- Undertaking manual labour, including the use of a manual pump truck and moving cages.
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and in a professional manner.
- Adhering to all relevant traffic laws and company procedures.
- Completing vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
What We're Looking For:
- A valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
- A valid Driver CPC qualification.
- A digital tachograph card.
- Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles (ideally 2 years experience but flexible).
- Comfortable with manual handling tasks.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work occasional nights out and weekends (enhanced rates apply).
