Global Claims Consultant Salary: Negotiable Location: London, Essex Job Type: Permanent Ref: SJP230307 Global Claims Consultant – London International Broker DESCRIPTION Identify, assess, and address potential concerns, problems, and risks. Report potential risks to the Legal and/or Compliance teams and manage the mitigation and removal of that risk. Understand, interpret, and present technical information to Senior Management and Executives. Demonstrate inclusive collaboration with peers on complex or contentious reinsurance developments. Support and provide training, coaching and guidance within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service provision and problem solving. Manage effectively, with clear and concise communication of progress and in a timely manner to all relevant stakeholders. Provide input for the evolution of the operational model at all levels of the organisation. Promote new process improvement ideas leveraging technology solutions and value-added product solutions. Participate in team and department meetings and activities to share opinions, ideas, and knowledge. Maintain strong working relationships and participate in initiatives and/or contribute where required to deliver outcomes. Seek opportunities to increase own understanding and improve the services provided. Develop and deliver technical training on a range of reinsurance matters affecting today’s business, including but not limited to claims and contract specific issues and forward-thinking potential risks. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Knowledge of industry standard reinsurance concepts and principles, laws, regulatory requirements, and general business trends. Track record of successful client account management, relationship management, engagement, and development. Strong verbal and writing skills for the communication of complex claims issues, presentations and negotiations with clients, markets, and GC colleagues at all levels. Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the reinsurance transaction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications – specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required.
