Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Purpose: To oversee the efficient delivery of planned and reactive maintenance at a distribution site, ensuring compliance with budgets, schedules, and safety standards, while managing relationships with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage delivery of all reactive and planned maintenance works.
- Supervise site-based teams, including engineers and maintenance staff, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are met.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and supply chains; manage quotes and on-site delivery of services.
- Ensure completion of RAMS and H&S documentation; uphold CBES HSE standards.
- Chair internal and client meetings; generate performance and progress reports.
- Plan and cost small works and capital projects.
- Manage staff training, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes where necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
- City & Guilds/NVQ in Electrical, Mechanical, or Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent)
- BS7671:2018 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- CSCS/ECS Manager Grade Card
Desirable Qualifications:
- City & Guilds 2391 (Testing & Inspection)
- CITB SMSTS or equivalent
- Knowledge of Verisae/CAFM systems
Experience:
- 3+ years in a similar role on large-scale distribution sites.
- Background in engineering/building maintenance with experience handling safety, quality, and environmental issues.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and report-writing abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAFM tools.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently or in a team.
- Full UK driving licence required.
