An Ofsted ‘Good’ SEN School based in Nuneaton is looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team. TA’s experienced working across Early Years – Year 6 are encouraged to apply.
The school is committed to providing a safe, caring and engaging environment which ensures that all pupils are able to access high quality learning opportunities that cater for their individual needs and interests. The school caters for various SEN including Autism, PMLD, MLD, Downs Syndrome, ADHD and challenging behaviour. The severity of additional needs varies across the school.
Hours of work: 8:30am – 1:30pm
Your main duties will include:
- Providing 1:1 and general classroom support
- Assisting children with daily activities
- Supporting the class teacher to plan and deliver activities
- Creating and organising displays
- Assessing pupil progress and ensuring a safe learning environment
- Working across both KS1 and KS2 phases providing additional support where needed.
The ideal candidates will have experience working with various SEN and will have a DBS registered to the update service. Primary and Secondary Trained TAs are encouraged to apply. Applications from Graduates, University students, youth/support workers, residential support workers, children’s security service providers, nursing staff and graduates experienced working with children and young people are also encouraged to apply.
