Looking for someone confident on PC hardware to undertake swap outs of IT and EPOS equipment (electronic point of sale - till systems) for well-known retail brands across the Leicester area. An ideal home location would be in Leicester or anywhere with an LE postcode.
You must have a full manual driver’s licence to apply for this role. A fully expensed company van is provided. You will be required to drive to multiple sites per day, to attend field service calls on the IT and EPOS equipment in the client's customer’s stores. Training on EPOS hardware will be given.
The role requires work 5 days out of 7 to cover Saturday and Sunday, on 1 in 2 Saturdays, 1 in 3 Sundays. Standard hours are 09:00 - 17:30, overtime is paid outside of this.
Package of £27,153 + Van + overtime; made up of a Basic salary of £26,200 and shift/rotation on call payments of around £953 per annum. You will be the Evening On Call Engineer, currently 1 week in 6, where you work 12:00 - 20:00 + emergency on call until 22:00.
A planned 24/7 on call is currently being agreed, this is likely to be 1 week in 4. Standard hours will be 20:00 - 00:00, 4 hours as standard working hours, then on call from 00:00 - 08:00. If agreed, the on call payment will increase to £3,900 per annum and the package to £30,100.
This is a 40 hours per week full time PAYE contract. For any additional hours worked, overtime is paid at x1.5 Mon - Saturday and x2 Sunday and bank holidays (most Engineers do £3,000 per annum in overtime). This is a full-time permanent job with a fully expensed company van (with personal use), pension, paid holiday, and private medical insurance.
