Are you an experienced social worker with Kinship experience? Do you have a passion for providing first class support to Children's Services? An exciting opportunity has become available for a Locum Social Worker to join a Kinship Team in the Wigan area. You will be based with the Fostering Service, completing kinship assessments and carer support services.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of kinship caregivers, children and their immediate environment
- Court Assessment Work
- Case Management, implement case plans for kinship families
- Provide support to the kinship caregivers and the children
- Be an advocate for the children and kinship families
- Link Kinship caregivers and the children with resources such as education, health care, legal support and financial assistance
To be considered for the Social Worker role:
- 1-3 years experience of working within a similar social work setting
- Experience of assessing kinship caregivers and implementing case plans
- Diploma/Degree in Social Work
- SWE registration
